The boy most likely fell under the impression that it was acceptable to cheat due to the fact that the newspaper headlines read: "Doping", "Scandal" and "gambling", which are all forms of cheating. Society is causing him to become confused with the concept of cheating into making him believe that it is acceptable. He asked himself: "Well, since the world is cheating, why can't I?"
The former Chancellor of Germany was in the Hitler Youth at age 3. Because of this, many people consider his “'reform” plan must be a “fascist” program. This is an example of Genetic Fallacy because people are only taking into account the fact that he was a member of the Hitler Youth (the origin), rather than the actual context of his plans. Therefore, his plan is totally disregarded because of his prior history and association to a fascist party.
If you were to discount a story from a specific News channel simply because the story came from a “leaning source”. The News channel might report a story in a logical manner or it might not. You can’t simply discount the data just because of the source. The acceptance or rejection should be based on the content and data. This is what is called “committing a Genetic Fallacy”.
